  1. Number Systems (Real Numbers)

    1. Irrational Numbers: Introduction to numbers like , , .

    2. Rationalization: Learning to rationalize the denominator (e.g. ).

  2. Algebra

    1. Polynomials: Remainder Theorem and Factor Theorem and problems on them

    2. Algebraic Identities: Expanding on Grade 8 to include cubic identities like (a+b+c)2 and (x3 + y3 + z3 - 3xyz).

    3. Linear Equations in Two Variables: Introduction to the form ax + by + c = 0 and plotting these on a graph.

  3. Geometry 

    1. Triangles: Criteria for similarity, Mid-point Theorem, Basic Proportionality Theorem and problems.

    2. Quadrilaterals: More Complex Problems.

    3. Circles: Properties of chords, angles subtended by arcs, and Cyclic Quadrilaterals.

    4. Coordinate Geometry: Basics of the Cartesian plane, plotting points, and identifying quadrants.

  4. Mensuration

    1. Heron’s Formula: Using the semi-perimeter to find the area of a triangle (A = ).

    2. Surface Area and Volume: Moving beyond cubes to Spheres, Hemispheres, and Right Circular Cones.

  5. Statistics

    1. Data Representation: Advanced bar graphs, histograms (with varying base lengths), and frequency polygons.

    2. Measures of Central Tendency: Mean, Median, and Mode for ungrouped data.
