Lecture series on 'Ancient Indian Mathematics'

A series of lectures on " 'Ancient Indian Mathematics' " will take place at Bhaskaracharya Pratishthana.


The first lecture will be held on Tuesday, 27th January, 2026 from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM by Prof. Smita Bedekar.

This will be followed by a half hour talk by Prof. S. A. Katre.

The lecture by Prof. Smita Bedekar will be on Lilavati and she will continue to lecture on Lilavati.

In addition, Prof. Ravi Kulkarni and Prof. S. A. Katre will lecture in this series on various aspects of Ancient Indian Mathematics.

All these lectures will be useful for teachers and students of Mathematics interest in Indian Knowledge System (IKS).

A part of the lecture series will be useful for forming the syllabus of IKS – Mathematics.
