A series of lectures on " 'Ancient Indian Mathematics' " will take place at Bhaskaracharya Pratishthana.

This will be followed by a half hour talk by Prof. S. A. Katre. The lecture by Prof. Smita Bedekar will be on the book Lilavati of Bhaskaracharya and she will continue to lecture on Lilavati in future talks. In addition, Prof. Ravi Kulkarni and Prof. S. A. Katre will lecture in this series on various aspects of Ancient (Indian/other) Mathematics and its relation to modern mathematics. All these lectures will be useful for teachers and students of Mathematics interested in Indian Knowledge System (IKS). A part of the lecture series will be useful for forming the syllabus of IKS – Mathematics. The lecture series is jointly organised by Bhaskaracharya Pratishthana and SPPU and will be conducted in a hybrid mode.
