Overview:
This is a hands on workshop intended to get people introduced to the Basic Linux working environment. The second part of the workshop will be a hands on session on working and using GNU/Octave to solve mathematics/physics problems and model the same using GNU/Octave. During the session participants will be introduced to various commands (like: help, doc, lookfor, diary etc) while developing the model.
Expected Audience: (Max 30 participants)
Participants are expected to be conversant with basic trigonometry, basic physics, matrices. (This is not a compulsary requirement)
Prerequisites:
- Participants need to bring Laptops with gnu octave installed.
- Octave installed on Linux systems is preferred but not compulsory.
- How to get and install octave please check this link. https://www.gnu.org/software/octave/download.html
- They need to carry a paper notebook.
There is no fees for the workshop.
