The Bhaskaracharya Pratishthana announces training programme for mathematics for 6th standard students.
Topics covered Set theory Numbers Arithmetical problems (Ratio & proportion, Simple interest, Profit & Loss, Percentage, Unitary method) Algebra (Introduction, Algebraic expressions, Mathematical operations on algebraic expressions, Evaluation and simplification of algebraic expressions, Linear equations, Solving linear equations, Word problems) Geometry (Concept and properties of point, line & plane, Line segments, Angles {Construction, Types, Pair of angles}, Perpendicular and parallel lines, Triangles {Types, Properties, Exterior angles}, Circles {Construction, Elements of circle}, Geometrical constructions) Mensuration (Area & Volume) Statistics (Introduction, Bar graph)

Highlights of the programme

  1.     A lot of problem solving will be done. Students will be encouraged to solve problems on their own.
  2.     Test papers will be given to students regularly.
  3.     Students will be given proofs of the formulae, wherever required, for better understanding.
  4.     Students will be introduced to books of international repute like Mathematical Circles.
  5.     Library facility would be provided to the students on payment of a nominal deposit. The library fees are waived off. Students should use this facility as much as possible. Thus students will get a head-start for various other competitive examinations.

Eligibility More than 90% marks in Mathematics in the 5th standard.
Fees Rs. 3000/- for the entire course, to be paid on registration for the course
