Sane Chennai Mathematical Institute	Title: Introducing the Binary Hamming Codes through a prisoner problem Abstract: In this talk, I will introduce the Binary Hamming codes through a game theoretic question of the Prisoners and Hats problem. The talk will conclude with an introduction to a general framework of error correcting codes with a focus on algebraic coding theory.
4.20 pm	Prof. Mainak Poddar IISER, Pune	Title: Polytopes, lattice points, and geometry Abstract: There is a way to associate geometric spaces to polytopes in both algebraic and symplectic geometry. This connection makes it easier to study geometric as well as combinatorial questions, and continues to yield more and more interesting results. I will try to give an introductory description of the principles involved and also some examples.

Kothari Iowa State University, USA	Title: Mathematics for Software-Enabled Technologies Abstract: There is an urgent need to address the life-threatening problems that have come along with the software-enabled technologies. This talk is about: A mathematical formulation to capture the fundamental challenge of software-enabled technologies A review of existing approaches and where they fall short to address the challenge A new approach by creating an algebra to represent execution behaviors of software
